BELOIT, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's basketball team endured a frigid shooting night Tuesday en route to a 66-48 Midwest Conference loss to Beloit College at Flood Arena.
  Lawrence shot just 29.8 percent from the floor, including 17.4 percent on 3-pointers, for the game.

Casey Schoenecker led Lawrence with 14 points as he hit 7-of-13 shots from the floor. Schoenecker also pulled down a team-best seven rebounds.

Landon Key added eight points, four rebounds and four steals for the Vikings (2-5, 0-1 MWC).
  Azeez Ganiyu led Beloit (3-3, 1-0) with 20 points.
  Lawrence trailed 18-8 early after seven consecutive points by the Bucs. Beloit led by as many as 19 points at 38-19, but the Vikings finished the first half with a flurry. After a pair of

Nathan Valentine drained a 3-pointer and Schoenecker got a layup at the buzzer to trim the lead to 38-26 at the break.
  Lawrence cut the lead to eight points four times in the second half, the last coming after Valentine's layup with 9:12 left to make the score 51-43. Beloit then went on a 13-2 run to seal the victory.
  Lawrence returns to action on Saturday when the Vikings host Grinnell College at Alexander Gymnasium.
