RHINELANDER, Wis. -- The Lawrence University softball team lost a pair of nonconference games Friday to No. 24 Concordia University Wisconsin in the Hodag Dome.
  The Falcons won the opener 11-3 in the six innings and took the nightcap 10-1 in five innings.
  In the opener, Lawrence was limited to two hits, one apiece by
Janessa Gonzalez and
Adrie Villa. Lawrence scored all three of its runs in the fifth inning with Gonzalez smacking a two-run single and
Alexis Norwood drawing a bases-loaded walk.
  Jasmine Freeze didn't allow a hit over four innings to get the win, and
Avery Chilson gave up five runs on seven hits over three innings and took the loss.
  In the nightcap, Emma Shellstrom allowed just one hit over four innings to get the win for Concordia.
Kourtney Mercer gave up six runs on five hits over three innings to take the loss.Â

Mattigan Haller all picked up hits for the Vikings. Lawrence scratched out its only run in the bottom of the fifth on a groundout.Â
