AUBURNDALE, Fla. -- The Lawrence University baseball team's bats were shackled for the second consecutive game Friday in an 11-1 nonconference loss to the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.).
  The Vikings led 1-0 heading to the bottom of the fifth, but Saint Joseph scored four in the fifth, five in the sixth and two more in the seventh to close out the game.
  Lawrence was limited to four hits against a pair of Bluejays pitcher. The lone bright spot offensively was
Jacob Charon, who smacked a solo homer in the second inning to give the Vikings a 1-0 lead.Â

Elden Santana worked the first 4.1 innings and allowed three runs (two earned) on two hits while striking out seven and walking three. Four Lawrence pitchers combined to walk 10 batters, and the Vikings committed five errors.
  Lawrence (7-3) returns to action Saturday when it takes on Simpson College.
