CHICAGO, Ill. -- The Lawrence University baseball team gave up a seven-run fourth inning on Sunday, and that was the difference in a 12-6 Midwest Conference setback to the University of Chicago at J. Kyle Anderson Field.
  Lawrence led 3-2 headed to the bottom of the third when the Maroons scored twice to grab the lead back. Chicago took control of the game with seven runs in the fourth inning.Â

Edan Perez led Lawrence (20-8, 12-2 MWC) by going 2-for-3 with three runs batted in and a run scored.
Jacob Charon went 2-for-5, drove in a run and scored a run for the Vikings, and
Parker Knoll doubled and scored twice.
  The Maroons (9-16, 8-3) hit Lawrence starter
Elden Santana hard as he gave up eight runs on seven hits, struck out five and walked four. Phil Hogan picked up the win in relief for Chicago.
  Lawrence jumped on top in the third, and Charon got the scoring started when he singled to score Knoll.
Tate Hartlaub delivered a run-scoring single to plate Perez and the game was tied 2-2.
Nick Heerde reached on a fielder's choice to score Charon, and the Vikings were up 3-2.
  After a two-run homer gave Chicago the lead in the bottom half of the innings, the Maroons then scored seven times on just three hits in the fourth. Two hit batters, two walks and an error fueled the inning for Chicago.
  Lawrence scored once on in the seventh on Perez's RBI single, and the Vikings tacked on two more in the ninth on a two-run single from Perez.
  Lawrence returns to conference play on Tuesday when it travels to Beloit College for a doubleheader.
