RIPON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University baseball team fell 4-3 to Ripon College on Wednesday in a Midwest Conference game at Francis Field.
  Ripon scored a run without the benefit of a hit in the bottom of the eighth to break a 3-3 tie.

Jacob Charon was 2-for-2 with two doubles, two runs batted in and a run scored to pace Lawrence's seven-hit attack.
Edan Perez went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and scored a run for the Vikings (27-9, 17-3 MWC), and
William Zatkowski was 2-for-4.
  The Vikings took a 1-0 lead in the fourth when Charon walked and came around to score with the help of two Ripon errors. Ripon tied it in the bottom of the fifth, but the Vikings struck for two runs in the top of the sixth.
Parker Knoll walked, and Perez followed with a double. Charon then doubled to score both runners, and Lawrence led 3-1.
  Ripon got runs in the sixth and seventh to tie it, and then scored the winning run in the eighth on a walk, a sacrifice, a balk and a wild pitch.Â

Cam Ruth took the loss in relief for the Vikings despite not allowing a hit, and Orion Rieden picked up the win for Ripon (13-20, 9-11).
