APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's soccer team scored early in the second half Saturday night to secure a 1-1 nonconference tie with Macalester College on Ron Roberts Field at the Banta Bowl.
  The Vikings trailed 1-0 when Macalester (2-2-1) scored just 1:10 into the second half, but
Ava Elders tied it for the Vikings.
  Elders emerged from a scramble in front of the net after taking a pass from
Natalie Linebarger and scored at the 59:55 mark.Â
  Both teams had quality chances in the final 30 minutes but neither was able to score.

Ella Lysne made seven saves for the Vikings (3-2-1), and Lily Salazar stopped two shots for Macalester. The Scots had a 14-7 edge in shots for the match.
