Vikings stopped by Hamline

    ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The Lawrence University men's soccer team dropped a 4-1 nonconference decision to Hamline University on Sunday at Peterson Field.
    Lawrence trailed 2-0 at the half but quickly cut the lead in half before Hamline pulled away.
    Hamline (8-1-0) scored two goals in a four-minute span in the opening half, but Lawrence (1-5-2) struck early in the second half.
    Daito Sho scored less than three minutes into the second half to trim the margin. Sho took a pass from Juan Navarette and scored at the 47:43 mark to cut the lead to 2-1.
    Hamline scored 11 minutes later to push the margin back to two goals and then tacked on a final tally with just 29 seconds left in the game.
    Ethan Uribe made the start in goal for Lawrence and stopped four shots in the first half. Nason Lancina played the second half and made 10 saves for the Vikings.
    Hamline had a 28-5 edge in shots for the match.
