MONMOUTH, Ill. -- The Lawrence University women's soccer team put on a dominating performance Saturday in a 4-0 win over Monmouth College in the Midwest Conference opener at Peacock Park.

Natalie Linebarger had a hand in three of Lawrence's scores with two goals and an assist.
Maya Alberts and
Ava Elders also scored for the Vikings, who are 3-0-1 in their last four meetings with the Scots.
  Lawrence (5-3-1, 1-0-0 MWC) got the scoring started in the 26th minute when Linebarger scored her third goal of the season at 25:33 for a 1-0 edge.Â
  The Vikings quickly made it 2-0 when Alberts scored off a pass from Linebarger at the 32:50 mark for a 2-0 advantage. Lawrence made it 3-0 less than five minutes later when Linebarger scored off a pass from
Zoe Feeley-Wheeler, who notched her first collegiate assist.Â
  Lawrence took the 3-0 lead into the locker room and built on the lead 20 minutes into the second half. Elders scored off an assist from
Madi Jones for a 4-0 edge at the 65:03 mark.
  Lawrence put together a 33-12 advantage in shots for the match.

Ella Lysne made the start in goal for the Vikings and recorded five saves over the first 78 minutes.
Rebecca Wolfe played the final 11:49 and made one save for the Vikings. Anna Caster stopped 12 shots for the Scots (2-6-2, 0-1-0).
