Lawrence shut out at Beloit

    BELOIT, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's soccer team fired off more shots Wednesday than Beloit College, but the Buccaneers did all the scoring in a 3-0 Midwest Conference win at Strong Soccer Field.
    Lawrence (0-6-2, 0-2-0 MWC) owned a 24-17 edge in shots, and limited Beloit (5-5-2, 2-0-0) to just five shots in the second half. 
    Beloit got a hat trick from Eziah Hernandez, who scored in the 33rd minute, the 40th minute and the 78th minute.
    Lawrence goalkeeper Nason Lancina made six saves for the Vikings, and David Staats stopped 10 shots for Beloit.
