Lawrence nipped by Rams

    APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's soccer team dropped a tight 1-0 Midwest Conference decision to Cornell College on Saturday on Ron Roberts Field at the Banta Bowl.
    The only goal in the contest came at the 20:20 mark when Cornell's Jake Elmore scored off a pass from Antonio Russo.
    In a defensive struggle, Lawrence (0-7-2, 0-3-0 MWC) had a 7-6 edge in shots against the Rams (3-7-0, 1-1-0). William Mikkelsen had a team-best three shots for the Vikings.
    Nason Lancina stopped three shots for the Vikings, and Jack Massey made one save for Cornell.
