MONMOUTH, Ill. -- The Lawrence University women's soccer team put together a strong all-around effort Saturday to post a 3-0 Midwest Conference victory over Monmouth College at Peacock Park.
    Lawrence (5-4-5, 3-1-1 MWC) jumped out to a 2-0 lead at the half and limited Monmouth (6-4-2, 2-1-1) to just three shots on goal for the contest.
    The Vikings took the lead at the 13:37 mark when 
Izzy Robertson scored off a pass from 
Kate Noonan and scored to give Lawrence a 1-0 lead. 
    Noonan put the Vikings up 2-0 later in the opening half with a goal at the 35:59 mark.
    Lawrence's 
Ava Elders put the game out of reach early in the second half when she scored at the 54:47 mark for a three-goal advantage.
    Lawrence put together an 18-8 edge in shots, and the Vikings had a 9-3 advantage in shots on goal. 
    
Ella Lysne played the opening 80 minutes and made two saves for the Vikings, and 
Kat Heyn made one save for Lawrence. Izzy Seipold made six saves for the Scots.
