History Made: Lawrence Men’s Cross Country Ranked in USTFCCCA Regional Rankings for First Time

Men's Cross Country earns 10th spot in regional rankings
Appleton, Wis. — For the first time in program history, the Lawrence University men's cross country team has earned a spot in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Regional Rankings.

The Vikings made their debut at No. 10 in the latest North Region poll, a historic milestone for a team that has been steadily climbing in competitiveness under the leadership of Coach Jason Fast. The ranking reflects the team's consistent performances this fall, including standout showings at several high-profile meets. With a deep and cohesive roster, Lawrence has emerged as a contender not only in the Midwest Conference, but across the entire North Region—one of the most competitive in NCAA Division III.

"Going into the season one of our lofty goals was to finish in the top 10 at Regional, this ranking now shows that we are on the path to achieving the goal we set for ourselves. This group continues to live out our team values and accepts any challenge that is thrown at them. They have all come together to elevate each other and accomplish goals. This is just the beginning for us—we will continue to push for loftier goals."- Coach Jason Fast. The Vikings' roster features a strong mix of veteran leadership and talented underclassmen, creating a team culture built on resilience, discipline, and trust. This fall, they've outpaced several traditionally strong programs and shown that they belong among the region's elite.

The Vikings will look to carry their momentum into the postseason as they chase both conference hardware and a potential berth at the NCAA Division III Championships.
