The first set began with both teams exchanging points evenly until Lawrence gained momentum.
Annaliesse Schmall notched the first point for Lawrence with a kill from an assist by
Ally Corrente.
Audrey Weier's service aces helped extend the Vikings' lead. Rockford struggled with errors, including a critical attack error by Ashley Mersch, which gave the team a 24-19 lead. The set concluded with Corrente delivering a decisive kill to secure a 25-19 victory for the Vikings.
Lawrence took control early in the second set with a strong service run from
Amanda Vlkovic, including two consecutive aces, pushing them to a 4-1 lead.
Alayna Geiser capitalized with multiple kills, extending their advantage to 7-2. Schmall was effective at the net, contributing a series of kills and benefiting from a Rockford attack error, allowing Lawrence to further widen the gap. Despite a late effort from Rockford, the set was sealed 25-13 with a kill by
