APPLETON, Wis. ā October 25, 2025Ā ā The Lawrence University men's and women's swimming and diving teams opened their 2025ā26 seasons in impressive fashion on Saturday afternoon, earning dual-meet victories over Beloit College at Robert G Nicholls Natatorium.Ā

Lawrence womenĀ captured aĀ 
107ā92Ā win, powered by a combination of depth and top-end speed across multiple events. TheĀ 
men's teamĀ followed suit with a narrowĀ 
76ā71Ā victory, holding off a late Beloit surge with strong relay finishes and key individual performances.
On the women's side,Ā Zoey Ziegler led the way with 1
stĀ place finishes across multiple events including, the 200-yard backstroke, the 50-yard freestyle and was a contributor on the women's 200-yard medley relay along with fellow teammates, Kylie White, Jami Revoir, and Mattie Ramont.Ā Ā 
The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Ella Lee, Eden Holty, Kristyn Landon, and Piper Smart also found success on the day as well securing first place points for the Vikings.Ā Ā Lawrence also picked up points in diving with top 3 finishes by Viv Affatato, and Olivia Martin.Ā 
The men's squad displayed balanced contributions and notched wins in the sprint freestyle and contributed to the decisive relay victory that sealed the meet for the Vikings.Ā  The 200-yard medley relay team of Joseph Phillips, Leslie Cleveland, Michael Branham and Henry Ambrose added crucial points with their relay win.Ā 
Leslie Cleveland found success at the men's 200-yard IM, where he was able to finish first and pick up the first place points for the Vikings. Other top finishes for the men included Henry Ambrose in the 100-yard freestyle, and Michael Branham in the men's 500 yard freestyle.Ā 
On the boards, Lawrence men divers found success as well led by 
Jackson Bertman's two first place finishes in the men's 1 meter and 3-meter diving.Ā 
Lawrence returns to action next weekend when it travels to St. Norbert College for its next meet.
