APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's soccer team gave up a pair of late goals Tuesday and dropped a 2-1 Midwest Conference decision to Lake Forest College on Ron Roberts Field at the Banta Bowl.
Lake Forest scored twice in the final four minutes to rally for the victory and remain unbeaten on the season at 12-0-0 (3-0-0 MWC).
Lawrence (0-8-2, 0-4-0) drew a foul in the Lake Forest box, and that led to the first goal of the contest.
Daito Sho calmly converted the ensuing penalty kick to give Lawrence a 1-0 lead at the 78:14 mark.
Miguel Rodriguez evened the score for Lake Forest with 3:17 remaining after a scramble in front of the Lawrence net. The Foresters then took the lead on Chad Endozo's goal with 2:21 remaining.
Lawrence had a scoring chance in the final 10 seconds, but the ball bounced wide of the net.
