Vikings stumble on the road verus Bulldogs

ADRIAN, Mich. — Lawrence fell to Adrian , 8-1, at Adrian's home rink. The Bulldogs capitalized on two power-play opportunities, while the Vikings managed 16 shots on goal.

The first period commenced with Adrian controlling the play early, despite Lawrence's efforts to gain momentum. Owen Carlson, in goal for the Vikings, made several key saves to keep the team in contention. However, Adrian's Frank Tafelski broke through with a goal at 7:36, putting the home team ahead. Shortly after, David Clarke extended their lead with another goal at 5:06. The Vikings attempted to respond with shots from Vladimir Fadeev and Kenny Sutton, but were unable to capitalize, concluding the period trailing 2-0.

Lawrence faced a challenging second period against the Bulldogs, initially conceding a goal at 18:28 to Julien Jacob, which extended the home team's lead. A power-play goal by Tafelski at 15:12 further widened the gap, underscoring Adrian's offensive pressure. Despite being down, Adam Brzezicki responded with a goal at 7:45, assisted by Nicholas Townsend, providing a brief spark for the visiting team. However, Adrian quickly regained momentum with a goal from Lucas Deeb at 6:21, setting the score at 6-1 by the period's end.

The Vikings faced a challenging third period as Adrian extended their lead. Despite a power play opportunity early in the period, Lawrence couldn't capitalize, with shots from Ben Winkelmann and Hunter Bill failing to find the net. At 13:08, Adrian's Jack O'Hanisain scored an even-strength goal, further increasing the home team's advantage.

As the period progressed, the Vikings continued to pressure the Bulldogs, but their efforts were thwarted by Adrian's defense and goaltending.
