WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. — Lawrence University (9-2) fell to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (7-4), 46-39, at Just A Game Fieldhouse this afternoon.

Charlotte Brennan led a critical surge midway through the quarter, scoring a layup and a free throw to tie the game at 5-5. As the quarter progressed,
Sophie Morey made a significant impact, scoring a jumper to tie the game again at 9-9 with 2:12 remaining. Brennan continued to drive Lawrence's momentum, hitting a jumper at 1:28 to put the team ahead 11-9. In the final moments, Morey secured an offensive rebound and converted a jumper, allowing the team to close the quarter with a narrow 13-11 lead.
Lawrence faced a challenging second quarter, struggling offensively with only 1 point scored, courtesy of a free throw by
Kate Adams at 1:30. Despite strong rebounding efforts, including 10 defensive rebounds, the Vikings could not convert on their 12 field-goal attempts, leading to a scoring drought.
