APPLETON, Wis. — Lawrence (2-9-0, 0-7-0) was defeated by Aurora University (8-1-0, 6-1-0), 4–2, at home. Lawrence's power-play goal in the first period highlighted their effort against the conference leader.
The first period began with the Spartans taking an early advantage, capitalizing on a power play at 14:05 with a goal by Chayce Schmidt, assisted by Jakson Kirk and Chase Broda. The Vikings responded with defensive efforts, including
Cody Brekke blocking a shot. Despite these efforts, Aurora extended their lead to 2–0 with an even-strength goal by Conor Ronayne at 10:56.
Lawrence found momentum when
Ben Winkelmann scored a power-play goal at 6:24, assisted by
