APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's hockey team stormed back Friday night to grab a 4-2 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association victory over the University of Dubuque at the Appleton Ice Center.
  The Vikings trailed 2-0 before scoring late in the second period and adding three more goals in the third to pull away.

Carter Cloutier and
Cody Brekke scored two goals apiece for the Vikings, and
Jack Michels and
Will Crull both had two assists.

Nolan Mahaffey made 22 saves to pick up the victory for Lawrence (6-13-2, 5-9-1 NCHA), and Chris Curr stopped 25 shots for the Spartans (1-18-3, 1-12-2). Lawrence had a 29-24 edge in shots for the night.
  Dubuque led 2-0 after scoring twice in the second period, but the Vikings clawed back in the final minute of the period. Brekke scored off assists from Michels and
Logan Schwartzhoff with just 17 seconds left in the second to trim the margin to 2-1.
  A minor dust-up between the teams led to a 4-on-4 situation to start the third period, and Cloutier quickly scored off an assist from Crull 39 seconds into the period to tie the game at 2-2.
  The Spartans were then whistled for hooking 22 seconds after the goal to put the Vikings on the power play. Lawrence took advantage when Brekke scored at the 2:28 mark off assists from Crull and Cloutier to grab a 3-2 advantage.
  Lawrence went back on the power play a few minutes later, and the Vikings cashed in again. Cloutier scored on the power play off assists from Michels and
Miles McCue at the 7:06 mark to give Lawrence a two-goal lead.Â
  The Spartans pulled Curr for an extra attacker for the final 2:45 but couldn't pull any closer.
  The teams wrap up the two-game series on Saturday night.
