CHICAGO, Ill. -- The Lawrence University baseball bounced back from a tough game one loss Saturday to earn a nonconference doubleheader split at North Park University.
  Lawrence took the second game 14-4 in eight innings after North Park rallied for two runs in the bottom of the ninth for an 8-7 victory in the opener.
  In the second game, Lawrence's
Edan Perez went 4-for-6 with a homer, a double, three runs batted in and a run scored. He finished a triple short of the cycle.
Taylor Freeman continued his hot hitting for Lawrence as he went 3-for-3 with a double, three runs scored and a pair of runs driven in.Â

Nathan Depew blasted a big three-run homer for Lawrence (2-4), and
Tate Hartlaub and
Shane Santaga had two hits apiece.Â

Nathan Zumbrunnen picked up his first collegiate victory with three innings of relief work. Zumbrunnen allowed two runs on four hits, struck out four and walked two.
Conner Robertson made the start and allowed two runs on two hits, struck out five and walked two in the opening four innings.
  Lawrence was up 1-0 when the Vikings tacked on two more runs in the third, thanks in part to Perez's run-scoring double.Â
  Lawrence then broke the game open in a five-run fourth innings. Hartlaub got things started with a run-scoring double, and Freeman followed with a two-run single for a 6-0 lead. Perez then belted a two-run homer, and the Vikings led 8-0.
  North Park (3-11) pulled to within 8-2 in the bottom half of the inning, but Lawrence tacked on insurance runs in the sixth and seventh to forge a 10-4 lead.
  Lawrence sealed the win with four runs in the eighth. Walks to
CJ Filipek and
Sage Beebe-Jenny got things started, and Santaga doubled to score Filipek. Depew followed with a three-run blast for a 14-4 lead.
  In the first game, Freeman went 3-for-5 with a homer, a double, an RBI and three runs scored. Lawrence's Ben Gutkowski went 3-for-4 with a triple, a run scored and an RBI. Hartlaub had a pair of hits, and Filipek smacked a solo homer.Â
  Lawrence trailed 2-1 when the Vikings scored three times in the fourth.
Nolan Zurawski doubled and later stole home to start the rally. Freeman finished the outburst with a solo homer for a 4-2 lead. Lawrence tacked on two more runs in the fifth, including a lead-off homer from Filipek, for a 6-2 advantage.
  Lawrence led 7-2 when North Park scored twice in the sixth and twice in the seventh to cut the margin to one. North Park then got two solo homers in the bottom of the ninth to rally for the win.

Nick Katz worked five innings for the Vikings, allowing three earned runs on five hits while striking out four and walking two.
William Polanco took the loss for Lawrence.Â
