APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's lacrosse team grabbed its first Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference victory Wednesday with a 16-6 win over Beloit College on Ron Roberts Field at the Banta Bowl.
  Lawrence used a balanced attack with three goals apiece from
Iori Yamada,
Judah Goehring and
Brody Herr.
Finn Anderson,
Henry Hayes and
Camden Waters added two goals apiece for the Vikings (3-5, 1-2 NACC).

Emmett Eischens led Lawrence with three assists, and
Robbie Spielmann added a pair of assists. Goalkeeper
Gavin Reiter made 11 saves to pick up the win for Lawrence. The Vikings had a 40-34 edge in shots for the game.
  Yamada and Goehring staked the Vikings to an early 2-0 lead, and the Vikings later scored five consecutive goals, including two from Goehring, for a 7-1 lead. Anderson scored twice in the second quarter to stake the Vikings to an 11-3 lead at the half.
  Beloit never got closer than an eight-goal deficit in the second half.
  Lawrence went 4-for-5 on extra-man opportunities, and Beloit was 2-for-6. The Vikings posted a 31-19 edge in ground balls.
