CHICAGO, Ill. -- The Lawrence University men's lacrosse team mounted a late comeback Saturday but fell short in a 10-8 setback to Illinois Tech in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference game at Stuart Field.
  Lawrence trailed 10-3 midway through the fourth quarter, but the Vikings exploded for five goals in the final 4:27.

Finn Anderson scored off a pass from
Iori Yamada with 4:27 left to trim the lead to 10-4.
Eamon Tegenfeldt-Pfohman added a goal with 2:08 remaining to cut the lead to 10-5.
  The Vikings had an extra-man opportunity and
Emmett Eischens cashed in with a goal off a pass from
Camden Waters with 1:25 left.
Robbie Spielmann followed with another goal off a pass from
Brody Herr with just 47 ticks remaining to trim the lead to 10-8. Herr added another goal with 26 seconds left to cut the margin to two, but that's as close as the Vikings would get.
  Spielmann led the way for Lawrence w(3-6, 1-3 NACC) ith three goals on six shots, and Herr added a pair of goals.Â

Gavin Reiter made 14 saves and tied for the team lead with
Cody Brekke with eight ground balls.Â
  Illinois Tech (5-4, 4-0) had a 41-34 edge in shots, and Lawrence had a 35-29 edge in ground balls.
