Lawrence drops road test at Beloit

    BELOIT, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's lacrosse team fell behind early and dropped a 17-5 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference game at Beloit College on Wednesday.
    The Bucs jumped out to a 7-0 lead at Strong Stadium and pulled away to an 11-1 lead at the half.
    Lawrence got four goals from Lydia Lueck, and Sophia Labrecque added the other score for the Vikings (1-4, 0-1 NACC). Evelyn Pryadkin picked up 15 saves in goal for Lawrence. 
    Lueck got the Vikings on the board with 9:50 left in the first half, added two more goals in the third quarter and picked another up in the fourth. Labrecque completed the scoring for the Vikings.
    Beloit (4-1, 1-0) posted a 41-11 edge in shots and a 25-10 advantage in ground balls.
