CHICAGO, Ill. -- The Lawrence University women's lacrosse team lost a 10-9 heartbreaker to Illinois Tech on Saturday in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference game at Stuart Field.
  In a back-and-forth affair, Lawrence took the lead with less than 10 minutes remaining, but the Scarlet Hawks scored twice in the final five minutes to pull out the victory.

Savannah Larsen paced Lawrence (1-11, 0-8 NACC) with four goals and she added an assist for five points.
Lydia Lueck added two goals and an assist, and
Sophia Labrecque,
Beth McArthur and
Laura Wilkins also scored for the Vikings.Â

Evelyn Pryadkin made six saves for the Vikings, and Mercy Godfrey stopped 13 shots for Illinois Tech (2-14, 1-7).
  Lawrence trailed 2-0 leary, but goals from McArthur, Lueck and Larsen pulled the Vikings back into a 3-3 tie in the final seconds of the first quarter. Illinois Tech scored the next three goals, but goals from Lueck and Larsen cut the deficit to 6-5 at the half.
  Labrecque's goal early in the second half tied the score at 6-6, but Illinois Tech then pulled out to a two-goal lead. Lawrence struck back for the next three goals as larson scored twice and Wilkins added another tally to give the Vikings a 9-8 lead with 9:52 left in the game. Antonia Martinez then scored with 4:55 left to tie it for Illinois Tech, and she scored again with 2:20 left for the game-winner.
