APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's tennis team make quick work of an undermanned Lakeland University squad Wednesday in a 7-0 nonconference victory at the Lawrence Courts.
The Vikings lost a total of just five games in the six matches that were contested. Lakeland didn't have a full squad so the Vikings won by default at No. 3 doubles and Nos. 5 and 6 singles.
Lawrence rolled to wins at Nos. 1 and 2 doubles with
Andrew Larson and
Benjamin Hoppe posting a 6-1 win at No. 1 and
Owen Horton and
Xander Priest grabbing a 6-0 victory at No. 2.
 Â
Gabriel Garcia won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 to lead Lawrence's singles winners. Larson was a 6-0, 6-1 winner at No. 1, Hoppe won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2, and Horton grabbed a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 4.  Â
Lawrence finishes the regular season with a 9-15 record, and the Vikings head to the Midwest Conference Championships this weekend.
