WHEATON, Ill. -- The Lawrence University volleyball team downed Concordia University Chicago 3-1 in a nonconference match Friday at the Marilyn Scribner Invitational.
  Lawrence defeated the Cougars 26-24, 25-27, 25-20, 25-11 in the event at Wheaton College.
  After splitting the opening two sets, Lawrence defense powered the Vikings to take the third set, and the Vikings hit .435 to grab the fourth set and the match.

Margaret Hahnke pounded out a match-high 19 kills for the Vikings and added 13 digs.

Alayna Geiser added nine kills apiece, and Geiser added 17 digs.Â
  Setter
Ally Corrente handed out 42 assists and picked up 11 digs for the Vikings, who improved to 10-2. Libero
Aria Wessel led the Vikings and all players with 22 digs, and
Amanda Vlkovic picked up 10.

Audrey Weier added eight kills for the Vikings and had four blocks and four digs. Corrente had a team-best five blocks, and
Chania Tinch added four blocks and four kills.
