Vikings shut out at Loras

    DUBUQUE, Iowa -- The Lawrence University women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 nonconference decision to traditional powerhouse Loras College on Saturday at the Rock Bowl.
    Loras (5-0-1) scored once early in each half to record the victory.
    Loras' Mayte Navejas scored in the eighth minute, and Emerson Gasmann scored in the 50th minute for the final margin.
    Ella Lysne made 11 saves for the Vikings (2-3-4), and Hannah Fedinec made four saves for the Duhawks. 
    Lawrence returns to action on September 27 when the Vikings open Midwest Conference play with Grinnell College.
