RIPON, Wis. ā The Lawrence University men's and women's track & field teams competed Saturday at the Ripon Dick Hendricks Invite hosted by Ripon College, the Vikings shwocased many strong performances including a school record falling, and first place finishes in events.

Lawrence delivered one of its top performances of the indoor season in the mile as Finn Lee etched his name into the program record book. Lee placed third overall in a time of
4:16.83, breaking a
14-year-old Lawrence indoor mile record with his performance. The mark earned six team points and now stands as one of the fastest indoor miles in program history.
The Vikings also claimed an individual victory in the 800 meters. Tristen Gray won the event in 1:59.30, narrowly edging the field to score 10 points. Ryan Draginis added a scoring effort with an eighth-place finish (2:07.68). In the 400 meters, Marcus Jackson posted a runner-up finish in 53.98, while Ryan Keller added a point with an eighth-place time of 55.40.
On the sprint side, Benjamin Baldwin advanced to the finals of the 60 meters and placed sixth in 7.23 after running 7.31 in prelims. Baldwin also competed in the 200 meters (24.05). Additional performances in the 200 included Brendan Cross (23.88) and Cannon Smithers (24.73).Ā
In distance events, Caleb Hardy led Lawrence in the 5,000 meters with a fourth-place finish (16:00.85), followed by Max Reemtsma in fifth (16:21.04). Wiez Wiesner also competed (18:37.95). In the 3,000 meters, Francis Alexander placed sixth (9:38.95) and Leigham Alexander finished eighth (9:50.06).
In the field events, Connor Skarsten led the Vikings in the shot put with a sixth-place throw of 13.23 meters. Corbin Schneider added an 11.15-meter effort. In the weight throw, Schneider (10.90m), Skarsten (10.83m) and JC Arocho (7.09m) represented Lawrence.

The Lawrence women were highlighted by a victory in the 4x200 relay, as the Vikings captured the event title in 1:53.33 to score 10 team points.
In the mile,
Jane Partsch placed eighth in 6:08.48. The 5,000 meters saw strong scoring performances from
Mari Rummel, who finished fifth in 20:45.18, and
Eli Wunderlich, who placed eighth in 22:49.11.
In the sprints,
Gisselle Reyes ran 8.28 in the 60 meters.
Jorja Miller led Lawrence in the 200 meters with a 28.10 finish, followed by
Gaby Skorczewski (29.77).
Izzy Baumgardt competed in the 400 meters (1:06.49).
In the field events,
Morgan Cross recorded a mark of 4.47 meters in the long jump.
Anna Vanden Acker posted a 9.46-meter effort in the triple jump. In the throws,
Alease McLain led the Vikings in the shot put (10.30m) and added a strong performance in the weight throw with a sixth-place mark of 13.59 meters.
Ryleigh Truchon threw 9.25 meters in the shot put and 10.36 meters in the weight throw, while
Greta Vianden added an 11.06-meter throw in the weight event.
Lawrence closed the meet with a third-place finish in the 4x400 relay (4:23.79).
