Beloit, Wisconsin – The Lawrence University men's lacrosse team delivered a dominant performance on Wednesday night, rolling to an 11-3 victory over Beloit in NACC action at Strong Stadium.
Lawrence wasted no time taking control, erupting for five goals in the opening quarter to seize early momentum. Eamon Tegenfeldt-Pfo opened the scoring, and the Vikings continued to apply pressure with goals from Judah Goehring, Brody Herr, Truett Jones, and Carter Wahlroth to build a commanding 5-0 lead after one.
The Vikings extended their lead in the second quarter as Goehring struck again, pushing the advantage to 6-0 at halftime. Lawrence's defense was equally impressive, holding Beloit scoreless through the first 30 minutes while limiting quality looks.
Beloit got on the board early in the third quarter, but Lawrence quickly answered. Goehring completed his hat trick during a man-up opportunity, and Joe McCabe followed with a goal to stretch the lead to 8-1. Tegenfeldt-Pfo later added his second of the night as the Vikings continued to control the pace.
Lawrence's balanced attack was on full display, with Judah Goehring leading the way with three goals. Joe McCabe added two goals and an assist, while Eamon Tegenfeldt-Pfo also finished with two goals. Brody Herr contributed a goal and an assist, and Robbie Spielmann facilitated the offense with three assists.
In goal, the Vikings combined for a strong performance, totaling 12 saves while helping hold Beloit to just three goals on 31 shots. Lawrence also controlled possession throughout, outshooting Beloit 46-31.
Beloit added a pair of late goals, but the outcome was never in doubt. Lawrence closed the game with two more scores in the fourth quarter, including a late goal from Cody Brekke to seal the 11-3 win.
