Appleton, Wisconsin — The Lawrence University men's lacrosse team dropped a NACC contest to Aurora University, 18-6, on Thursday evening.
Aurora controlled the pace from the opening faceoff, jumping out to a 6-1 lead after the first quarter and extending that advantage to 13-2 at halftime. The Spartans capitalized on strong possession play and shot volume to keep Lawrence on its heels early.
The Vikings showed resilience coming out of the break, turning in their strongest stretch in the third quarter. Lawrence netted three goals in the period, including a quick burst with back-to-back scores that helped generate momentum.
Joe McCabe and Judah Goehring led the Lawrence offense with two goals each, while Brody Herr and Emmett Eischens also found the back of the net. Eischens added three assists to pace the Viking attack.
Defensively, Tyler Graham anchored the cage with an impressive 22-save performance as Aurora peppered the goal with 64 total shots.
