Box Score DE PERE, Wis. -- Lawrence University's Will Nichols recorded his first career goal and hat trick, but the College of St. Scholastica rallied for a 4-3 nonconference victory at Schneider Stadium.
The game was part of the St. Norbert College Tournament.
Nichols scored all three of his goals in the first 22:22 of the match. Nichols scored just 50 seconds into the match off an assist from Jawad Weleidat to put the Vikings up 1-0. Nichols then made it 2-0 with goal just 1:31 later on an unassisted goal.
St. Scholastica's Luck Buckton scored the first of his three goals in the 21st minute to cut the lead to 2-1.
Nichols then got the hat trick when he scored off a pass from Brendan Vellenga just 1:58 later to give the Vikings a 3-1 lead.
St. Scholastica trimmed the lead to 3-2 with a goal late in the first half and scored again early in the second half to tie it. Buckton then scored at the 58:59 mark to give the Saints a 4-3 lead.
Corey Bulheller made four saves to pick up the win, and Cole Kelez stopped four shots for the Vikings.
