APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's tennis team rolled to a 9-0 Midwest Conference victory over Ripon College on Saturday at the Lawrence Courts.
  Lawrence pushed its record to 4-1 in the conference and clinched a berth in the four-team Midwest Conference Tournament. The Vikings are now 5-4 overall.
  The Vikings got the match started with a sweep of the three doubles contests.
Margot Connor and
Emma Koppa were 8-4 winners at No. 1, and
Lauren Aturaliya and
Chloe Lamb also won 8-4 at No. 2.
Anna Vanden Acker and
Morgan Fisher won the last six games to post an 8-2 win at No. 3.
  Koppa was impressive at No. 3 singles as she dropped just one game en route to a 6-1, 6-0 victory. Lamb was a 6-2, 6-0 winner at No. 4, and Vanden Acker remains unbeaten against Midwest Conference competition after she posted a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 5. Fisher grabbed a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 6.Â
  Connor dropped the opening set 6-3 at No. 1 but then won the second set 6-4. Connor took the match with a 10-8 victory in the super-tiebreaker. Aturaliya also lost the opening set 6-4 at No. 2 but cruised to a 6-1 win in the second set. She also took the super-tiebreaker 10-8 to complete the sweep.
  Lawrence has now won three straight against Ripon and 17 of the last 18 against the Red Hawks. Ripon fell to 3-9 overall and 1-4 in the league.
