MONMOUTH, Ill. -- The Lawrence University women's tennis team made it a clean sweep Saturday with a 9-0 Midwest Conference rout of Monmouth College at the Monmouth Courts.
  The Vikings had knocked off Illinois College 5-4 earlier in the day.
  Lawrence posted a pair of 8-0 wins en route to sweeping the doubles.
Lauren Aturaliya and
Chloe Lamb at No. 2 and
Anna Vanden Acker and
Morgan Fisher at No. 3 both won their matches without dropping a game. The No. 1 team of
Margot Connor and
Emma Koppa posted an 8-4 victory.
  Three of the Vikings rolled through the competition in singles. Koppa at No. 3, Lamb at No. 4 and Vanden Acker at No. 5 all posted identical 6-1, 6-0 victories. Fisher grabbed a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 6 and Alturaliya won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2.
  Posting the shutout came down to Connor at No. 1 singles. She won the opening set 6-3 against Natalie Labicki, but Labicki came back to win the second set 6-4. Connor then grabbed a 10-8 win in the super-tiebreaker to secure the match and the shutout for the Vikings.
  Lawrence improved to 4-4 overall and 3-1 in league play. Monmouth falls to 1-5, 0-3 in the MWC.
