OSHKOSH, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's tennis team lost a 5-4 nonconference heartbreaker at UW-Oshkosh on Tuesday.
    Lawre nce grabbed the early momentum thanks to a pair of doubles victories. The No. 1 team of Margot Connor and Emma Koppa rolled to an 8-2 victory. Chloe Lamb and Lauren Aturaliya won a hard-fought 8-5 win for the Vikings at No. 2 doubles.
    The Vikings moved their advantage to 3-1 after Morgan Fisher romped to a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Hannah Stitt at No. 6 singles. Oshkosh then won at Nos. 2-4 singles to pull ahead 4-3.
    Lawrence's Anna Vanden Acker then rallied from 5-4 down in both sets to post a 7-5, 7-5 victory over Jenna Nolde at No. 5 to tie the match at 4-4.
    It came down to the No. 1 singles match between Connor and Pattee. Connor grabbed the first set 7-5 and Pattee took the second set 6-4. Pattee forged an 8-6 lead in the super-tiebreaker, but Connor battled back to cut the lead to 9-8 before Pattee hung on for a 10-8 win.
    Lawrence returns to action on Thursday at UW-Stevens Point.
