STEVENS POINT, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's tennis team fell 8-1 in a nonconference match at UW-Stevens Point on Thursday.
  Lawrence (1-3) picked up its victory at the University Courts at No. 3 doubles. The team of
Amelia Watson and
Anna Vanden Acker knocked off Grace Henes and Jordan Scharf 8-5. The Vikings won the final three games of the set to take the win. The Vikings also played a tight match at No. 1 doubles where
Margot Connor and
Emma Koppa were edged 8-5.
  Lawrence also played three tight matches in singles but couldn't pull out a win. Koppa fell 7-5, 6-4 at No. 4,
Chloe Lamb took a tough 6-2, 7-5 loss at No. 4, and Vanden Acker was edged 6-4, 7-6 at No. 5.
  Three of the Vikings' first four opponents this season have been from the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
