RIPON, Wis. -- Lawrence University standout
Cristyn Oliver ran to victory in the 3,000 meters Saturday to lead the track and field teams in the Red Hawk Opener at the Willmore Center.
  Oliver cruised to victory in the 3,000 with a time of 10:36.10 as Lawrence opened its indoor season. Four Vikings were in the top eight in the event as
Althea Foster took fourth in 11:13.41 and
Riley Winebrenner was fifth in 11:17.67.
Aasma Haider grabbed eighth for Lawrence in 12:08.60.

Irene Yank leaped to second in the triple jump with a distance of 31 feet, 11.25 inches, and
Anna Vanden Acker was fourth at 30-7.75.
Morgan Cross grabbed third in the long jump with a leap of 14-5 and took seventh in the 60 meters at 8.60 seconds.Â
  Yank also posted a third in the 60 hurdles in 10.69 seconds, and
Claire Paquin was fifth at 11.14 seconds.Â

Madeline Taylor led Lawrence in the mile by taking fourth in 5:37.76, and
Berkeley Krell was eighth in 5:45.88.
Lilia Bodnar grabbed fifth in the 400 meters in 1:04.84, and Jacey Stanich was eighth in 1:09.19.
Emily Sugiyama took sixth in the 200 in 29.13 seconds, and Paquin was seventh in 29.41.
  Lawrence's 4x400 relay team finished third with a time of 4:26.62.
  On the men's side, Adam Bruce led the way for the Vikings by taking second in the 3,000 in 9:10.31. Five Vikings finished in the top seven as Connor Myatt took fourth in 9:47.50, and Owen West was fifth in 9:48.86. Itai Bodjak-Yates raced to sixth in 9:58.10, and Thomas Popoca was seventh in 10:25.29.
  The Vikings finished fifth through eighth in the 200 meters with Tristan Zook grabbing fifth in 24.22 seconds. Jaydon Watson took sixth in 24.46 seconds, David Benjamin was seventh in 24.47 and Will Eggert was eighth in 25.29. Eggert also placed fifth in the triple jump with a distance of 42-6, and Zook was fifth in the high jump at 5-7.75.
  Sawyer Hintz grabbed sixth in the 800 meters in 2:16.06, and Ian Thomas placed seventh in the shotput at 39-10.5.
  Lawrence's 4x400 relay placed seventh in 3:44.88.Â
