APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University swimming and diving teams swept Ripon College on Saturday in a dual meet at Boldt Natatorium.
  The Lawrence men clipped the Red Hawks 116-76, and the women edged Ripon 109-105.
  Three Lawrence men won multiple events.

Michael Thorson grabbed first in the 1,000-yard freestyle in 10:38.76 and took the top spot in the 500 freestyle in 5:10.82.Â
Will Phillips swam to victory in the 200 freestyle in 1:55.24 and was first in the 100 freestyle in 49.77 seconds.Â

Jackson Bertman swept the diving for Lawrence. He took first on the 1-meter board with a score of 259.10 and was first on the 3-meter board with a score of 222.30.

Keegan Mencke won the 200 individual medley in 2:06.05, andÂ
Leighton Frater grabbed first in the 100 backstroke in 57.53 seconds.Â
  The Lawrence team of Frater, Phillips,
Aaron Harris and
Sebastian Stacey won the 200 medley relay in 1:43.95.
  On the women's side, Irina Starostin led the way with a pair of victories. Starostin won the 200 freestyle in 2:07.14 and took the top spot in the 100 freestyle in 57.44 seconds.Â
    Stella Macfarlane was a winner in the 100 backstroke in 1:08.37, and Kiran Jayasinghe took first in the 100 butterfly in 1:07.76. The other individual winner for the Vikings was Chloe Vandehey, who took first in 3-meter diving with a score of 126.05.
  The 200 medley relay team of Kylie White, Macfarlane, Jayasinghe and Starostin took first in 2:02.12.
