MENOMONIE, Wis. -- Lawrence University track star Cristyn Oliver raced to fifth place against a quality field in the mile at the UW-Stout Quad on Friday. 
    Oliver took fifth in 5:12.83, and that is the fastest time in the Midwest Conference this season by nearly nine seconds.
    Carolyn Shult of UW-Eau Claire won the event in 5:00.04.
    The Vikings are back in action on Saturday when they travel to the Dick Hendricks Invitational at Ripon College.
