RIPON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University track and field teams picked up a first-place finish Saturday and a host of other top performances at the Dick Hendricks Invitational at the Willmore Center.
  The women's 4x200-meter relay team of
Morgan Cross,
Irene Yank,
Claire Paquin and
Emily Sugiyama ran to first in 1:55.46 to win by more than six seconds.
  Lawrence also placed four runners in the top six in the 3,000 meters.
Madeline Taylor led the way in the event as she took second in 11:10.80.
Althea Foster was next for the Vikings as she took fourth in 11:23.46.
Edythmae Frodl placed fifth with a time of 11:26.50, and
Aasma Haider grabbed sixth with a time of 11:31.35.
  Lawrence's 4x400 relay team of Paquin, Sugiyama,
Lilia Bodnar and
Faith Onukaogu raced to fourth place in 4:28.95. Bodnar also grabbed a fifth place in the 400 meters in 1:04.46.
Berkeley Krell took sixth in the mile in 5:41.80, and
Natalie Anderson was eighth in the 5,000 in 21:21.13.
  Lawrence's top finishers in the field events both came in the triple jump. Yank placed sixth with a leap of 33 feet, 4 inches, and
Mariana Zendejas was eighth with a distance of 32-3.75.
  The Lawrence women were sixth in the team standings with 48 points.Â
  On the men's side, David Benjamin placed in a pair of events for the Vikings. Benjamin was fifth in the long jump with a distance of 21-1.25, and he raced to eighth in the 400 in 54.63 seconds.
  The men's 4x400 relay team of Marcus Jackson, Connor Myatt, Tyler Scott and Bergen Thorson placed fourth with a time of 3:40.32. Myatt also placed fifth in the 3,000 with a time of 9:40.04.
  Will Eggert grabbed a fifth place in the triple jump with a leap of 41-6.50, and Ian Thomas was eighth in the shotput with a throw of 38-7.75.Â
  The Lawrence men were eighth in the team standings with 19 points.
