GRINNELL, Iowa -- The Lawrence University swimming and diving teams both took fourth place in the Midwest Conference Championships, which wrapped up Sunday at Osgood Pool.
  The Lawrence men finished with 332 points, and the Lawrence men piled up 270 points. Grinnell College swept the team titles.
  First-year
Jackson Bertman was named Men's Diver of the Year after taking the title on the 3-meter board and finishing second on the 1-meter board.Â
  The distance swimmers led the way for the Vikings on Sunday. Three Lawrence men finished in the top eight in the 1,650-yard freestyle.
Keegan Mencke was tops for the Vikings as he took fourth in 17:05.78. Lawrence's
Michael Thorson was seventh in 17:27.11, and teammate
Robert Klockow was just over a second behind as he took eighth in 17:28.73.Â
  Lawrence's 400 freestyle relay team of Mencke,
Eamon Rougvie,
Nathan Gault-Crabb and
Davis Wukovits placed seventh in 3:26.38.
  Mattie Letendre was the top performer for the women as she grabbed third place in the 200 backstroke in 2:06.21.Â
  Letendre teamed with Stella Macfarlane, Emily Hornung and Irina Starostin to take fourth in the 400 freestyle relay in 3:46.18.
