RIPON, Wis. --
Riley Winebrenner and Itai Bojdak-Yates led the Lawrence University track and field teams on Saturday with second-place finishes at the Ripon Invitational at the Willmore Center.
  Winebrenner took second in the 5,000 meters with a time of 19:27.98. Teammate
Althea Foster was right on her heels and placed third in 19:30.12.Â
    The Lawrence men were fourth in the team standings with 40 points, and the Lawrence women finished fifth with 51 points.
  Lawrence's other distance runners also fared well on the women's side.
Cristyn Oliver grabbed third place in the mile with a time of 5:16.38.
Berkeley Krell was third in the 800 meters with a time of 2:29.96, and teammate
Lilia Bodnar was less than a tick behind in fourth place with a time of 2:30.40.
  The other top individual finisher for the Lawrence women was
Claire Paquin, who took seventh in the 60 hurdles in 10.41 seconds.
  Lawrence's two relay teams both placed third. The 4x200 team of Paquin,
Morgan Cross,
Irene Yank and
Emily Sugiyama placed third in 1:54.76. The 4x400 team of Bodnar, Sugiyama, Krell and
Faith Onukaogu was third in 4:23.50.
  In the field events, Yank was the top finisher for the Vikings as she took sixth in the triple jump with a leap of 32 feet, 7.75 inches. Cross grabbed eighth in the long jump with a leap of 15-4.75.Â
  Bojdak-Yates led the Lawrence men by taking second in the 5,000 in 16:46.52 and that led a contingent of four Vikings in the top seven. Connor Myatt was third in 16:56.75, Owen West was fifth in 17:08.67 and Thomas Popoca was seventh in 17:51.64.Â
  The men's 4x200 relay team of Tyler Scott, Jaydon Watson, Marcus Jackson and Will Eggert also raced to a second-place finish with a time of 1:36.76.
    Greyson Schneider was the top finisher for the Vikings in the field events as he grabbed fourth place in the pole vault with a height of 13-1.50.Â
  Bergen Thorson ran to sixth place in the 800 with a time of 2:05.35. Sean McLaughlin grabbed a sixth place in the weight throw with a toss of 42-9.50, and Will Eggert snatched eighth in the triple jump with a leap of 39-8.75.Â
