RIPON, Wis. -- Lawrence University track and field standout Greyson Schneider broke his own school record in the pole vault Saturday at the Ripon Final Qualifier at the Willmore Center.
  Schneider cleared 14 feet, 4 inches, to break the mark of 14-2 he set in 2022. Schneider cleared on his last attempt at 13-10 and missed on his first try at 14-4. He cleared the height on the second attempt to break the record. Schneider, who failed to clear the next height of 14-10, finished sixth in the event.

Cristyn Oliver led a strong Lawrence contingent in the 3,000 meters as the Vikings had four of the top five finishers. Oliver raced to first place with a time of 10:35.74.
Riley Winebrenner was second for the Vikings at 10:53.86, and teammate
Aasma Haider was third in 11:31.98.
Eliza Wunderlich rounded out the finishers for the Vikings as she took fifth in 13:52.34.

Jasmine Moldenhauer was the other distance runner competing for Lawrence on Saturday, and she took second in the 5,000 in 20:39.80.
  On the men's side, Thomas Popoca took sixth in the mile in 4:57.53. Sean McLaughlin grabbed fifth place in the weight throw with a heave of 42-5.5.
