BELOIT, Wis. -- Lawrence University track and field standout David Benjamin took home a Beloit Relays title on Saturday at Strong Stadium.
  Benjamin grabbed first in the long jump with a leap of 21 feet, 5.5 inches. Benjamin took the top spot by 7.75 inches over second-place finisher Eric Chanos, an unattached competitor.
  Benjamin also placed in a running event and was part of both of Lawrence's relay teams. Benjamin took seventh in the 200 meters in 23.81 seconds. He teamed with Marcus Jackson, Will Eggert and Tristan Zook to take fifth in the 4x100 relay in 44.75 seconds. The 4x400 team of Benjamin, Connor Myatt, Jackson and Bergen Thorson was fifth in 3:37.88.
  Ian Thomas was second in the javelin throw with a heave of 180-0 feet and was first among the college competitors. Lawrence's Jaydon Watson was fifth in the javelin with a toss of 147-11.
  The other top finishers in the field events for the Vikings were Zook, who was sixth in the high jump at 5-7.75, and Eggert, who was seventh in the triple jump at 39-11.5.
  Lawrence's distance runners also had multiple top-four finishes. Itai Bodjak-Yates was second in the 10,000 in 37:29.40. Thomas Popoca took third in the 10,000 in 37:40.80 and Owen West was fourth in 38:53.80. Dylan Coble ran to second in the 3,000 steeplechase in 10:30.74, and teammate Ryan Wetzel-Meehan was third in 10:38.22.
  Lawrence had two runners score in the 800 as Myatt took sixth in 2:02.55 and Thorson was eighth in 2:07.21. Jackson grabbed seventh in the 400 in 53.76 seconds.
  Lawrence was fifth in the team standings with 76 points, and St. Norbert College won the team title with 147.5 points.

Jasmine Moldenhauer ws the top finisher for the Lawrence women as she took second in the 5,000 meters in 21:41.68. Teammate
Eliza Wunderlich was fourth in 24:35.58.
  Lawrence also had three other distance runners place in a pair of events.
Althea Foster was third in the 10,000 in 42:27.76 and teammate
Aasma Haider was seventh in 45:41.24.
Natalie Anderson took fourth in the 3,000 steeplechase in 13:39.89.

Mariana Zendejas placed in a pair of field events and one running event for the Vikings. Zendejas leaped to third in the triple jump with a distance of 33-4.5. She also took fourth in the long jump with a leap of 15-5.5.
Irene Yank took seventh in the 100 hurdles in 17.74 seconds, and Zendejas was eighth in 17.82 seconds.

Madeline Taylor raced to third in the 800 in 2:31.93, and
Lilia Bodnar was sixth in the 400 in 1:04.52.Â
  Both of Lawrence's relay teams placed as well. The 4x100 relay team of
Anna Vanden Acker,
Claire Paquin, Yank and
Morgan Cross took seventh in 53.46 seconds. The 4x400 relay team of Jacey Stanich, Bodnar, Taylor and
Amanda Endicott was eighth in 4:47.81.
  Lawrence finished seventh in the team standings with 52 points, and St. Norbert was first with 176 points.
