RIPON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's tennis team rolled to an 8-1 Midwest Conference victory over rival Ripon College on Saturday at the Ripon High School Courts.
  The Vikings swept the three doubles matches to start the day, and that included a nice comeback by the No. 1 team of
Anna Vanden Acker and
Logan Kane. Lawrence then took five of the six singles matches, and that included an impressive win at No.1 by
Chloe Lamb.

Lizzy Angemi and
Fanta Jatta put the first point on the board with an 8-1 victory at No. 3 doubles. Vanden Acker and Kane trailed 4-1, but the Lawrence duo won seven of the next eight games for an 8-5 victory at No. 1. Lamb and
Claire Bildsten put together a rock solid 8-3 win at No. 2.
  Lamb and Vanden Acker then clinched the team victory with wins in the top two singles flights. Lamb routed Chase Polyak 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1, and Vanden Acker topped Hadley Berendsen 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2.Â
  Angemi collected a 6-1, 6-3 victory at No. 5, and
Tess McGlenn was a 6-1, 6-2 winner at No. 6.
Claire Bildsten finished the scoring for a Vikings with a 6-3, 6-7, 10-7 win at No. 4.
  Lawrence continued its impressive run against its closest rival with the victory. The Vikings have now won 18 of the last 19 matches against Ripon dating back to 2004. Lawrence improved to 2-5 overall and 2-2 in the Midwest Conference.
