Vikings come up short against St. Norbert

Olivia Martin was a winner in 1-meter diving Friday at St. Norbert.
    DE PERE, Wis. -- The Lawrence University swimming and diving teams dropped a dual meet on Friday to St. Norbert College.
    The Green Knights defeated the Lawrence men 152-67, and the St. Norbert women topped Lawrence 179-50.
    Will Phillips led the Lawrence men with a victory in the 100-yard freestyle in 48.83 seconds. Phillips also took second in the 200 freestyle in 1:50.16. Wiley Curtis also grabbed a victory in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:19.24 and was second in the 100 freestyle in 49.14 seconds.
    The men's 200 medley relay team of Phillips, Michael Thorson, Curtis and Sebastian Stacey swam to a victory in 1:42.19. 
    Jackson Bertman took the top spot in the second round of 1-meter diving with a score of 247.00. Bertman took second in the first round of diving with a score of 148.15.
    Olivia Martin took the first round of 1-meter diving with a score of 138.35. She took second in the second round of diving with a score of 120.15.    
    Irina Starostin recorded a pair of second-place finishes for the Vikings. She took second in the 50 freestyle in 25.96 seconds and was second in the 200 butterfly in 2:25.99.
