Box Score   APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 Midwest Conference decision to unbeaten Lake Forest College on Sunday at the Lawrence Courts.
Lawrence dropped to 3-3 on the season, and the Vikings are now 1-1 in Midwest Conference play. Lake Forest is now 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the league.
The tightest match of the afternoon came at No. 1 singles where Lawrence's
Anna Vanden Acker made it difficult for Sofia Strupovets. After Strupovets won the opening set 6-0, Vanden Acker rallied. She trailed 2-1 in the second set before rallying to take a 4-3 lead. Strupovets, who appeared to be struggling with the hot, humid temperatures, came back to win the next three games and close out the match.
Lawrence returns to action on Sept. 21 when the Vikings host UW-Stout and Dubuque.
