Box Score     BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- The Lawrence University won a pair of singles matches Saturday but dropped a 5-2 nonconference decision to Illinois Wesleyan University at Evergreen Racquet Club.
    The season opener for Illinois Wesleyan saw the Titans won all three of the doubles matches to secure that point.
    Lawrence (1-2) picked up a pair of wins in singles from Clara Hills at No. 2 and Logan Kane at No. 3. Hills downed Gabi Lipske 6-4, 6-2, and Kane took the opening set from Olivia Bell 7-6 with a 7-5 win in the tiebreaker. Kane was leading in the second set when Bell retired due to injury.
    Lawrence returns to action on Sunday when it travels to Concordia University Chicago.
