APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's and women's fencing teams both went 6-0 Saturday at the Lawrence Winter Duals at the Buchanan Kiewit Wellness Center.
  The Vikings claimed two wins apiece against the University of Detroit Mercy, Purdue University and the combined team of Marquette University/UW-Whitewater.
  Against the lone NCAA squad, Detroit Mercy, the Vikings cruised to a pair of easy wins for both the men and women. No team won more than seven bouts against either the Lawrence men or women.
  On the women's side, the top record on day went to
Sophia Lewis with a 12-0 mark in epee.
Eleanor Seelaus and
Nora Anderson both went 10-2 in epee for the Vikings.Â

Jayna Davis and
Mahek Rewani both went 6-0 in saber, and
Miami Kirkwood went 7-2 while competing in both foil and saber.
Iris Pierce and
Sophia Kelley both compiled 6-2 marks in foil.Â
  Alan Rodriguez was perfect on the day for the men as he compiled a 10-0 mark in saber. Eli Freyre de Andrade was 8-0 in saber, and Jordan Diacos went 6-1.Â
  Dominick Vaccaro and Jack Kropp led the epee contingent on the day. Vaccaro finished with an 11-2 record and Kropp went 10-2. Mateo Wilkins was tops in foil with a 7-1 record, and Vinicius Alsonso de Paula went 6-2.Â
