APPLETON, Wis. —
Zoey Ziegler secured a first-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle to help Lawrence University earn multiple top-five placements against St. Norbert on Friday.
Lawrence University's swim team delivered strong performances against St. Norbert but were ultimately edged by a final score of 172- 46. Ziegler's victory in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:34.48 was a strong highlight of the day for the Vikings. Mattie C. Ramont also contributed significantly, securing fourth place in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:55.52. The women's 200-yard medley relay team claimed third place with a final time of 1:44.89, showcasing their competitive edge.
In the women's 200-yard individual medley,
Kylie White and
Piper Smart finished fourth and fifth, respectively, with times of 2:01.04 and 2:08.21. Freshman
Viv Affatato made an impact in the diving segment, finishing third in the 1-meter diving event. Lawrence also secured a second-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay, with Ramont and
Kristyn Landon anchoring the team to a final time of 3:44.21.
