APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University men's tennis team rolled to a 7-0 Midwest Conference victory over Monmouth College on Saturday morning at the Lawrence Courts.
  The Vikings started the day strong by dropping just two games total in the three doubles matches.
  Lawrence (7-12, 1-1 MWC) won five of the six singles matches in straight sets, led by
Andrew Larson's dominating 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 1. Â

Owen Horton had the toughest singles match of the day against Antonio Perez at No. 4. Horton dropped the opening set 6-3 but won the second set 7-5. Horton then won the super-tiebreaker 10-7 to take the match victory.Â

Will Phillips picked up his first collegiate victories in singles and doubles. Phillips was a 6-2, 6-4 winner of Alfonso Mares at No. 6 singles and then teamed with
Gabriel Garcia for a 6-0 win at No. 3 doubles.
